SHEPHERD OF THE VALLEY LUTHERAN PRESCHOOL
Our Preschool opened in September 1981 with a commitment to provide Christian training as well as an excellent academic program in a Christian environment for the young children of the congregation of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church and the surrounding community. Mrs. Sandy Leathernam serves as Preschool director. The Pastor of Shepherd of the Valley, the Reverend Robert Weller, acts as a faculty advisor.
OUR PHILOSOPHY We are primarily concerned with the personal growth of each child in the areas of self esteem, Christian training, social interaction and group play, academic skills and emotional development. We believe every child created by God is individually unique and deserves the utmost care and respect. Shepherd of the Valley Preschool offers a program that will enhance the children's mental, physical, emotional and cognitive growth as they develop their socialization skills. We believe in teaching attitudes as well as aptitudes, for it is during the formative years that the child's patterns of behavior and beliefs are formed.
OUR STAFF Our teachers are qualified Christian teachers who are dedicated to the academic and spiritual growth of each child.
BOARD OF EDUCATION The Board of Education is committed to establishing, developing and maintaining a standard of excellence in all areas of instruction, challenging each child to their fullest potential. We endeavor to do this by offering small classes and employing a dedicated and qualified staff.
NON-DISCRIMINATORY Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational and admission policies.
